SACMI @ EURO PM2017 - MILAN (Italy)
Powder Metallurgy European Congress & Exhibition SACMI in Milan (Italy) from 1st to 5th October 2017 at Milano Congressi (MiCo).
Set to return to Italy after 7 years, the annual European Powder Metallurgy Industry gathering is one of the ‘must attend’ events for both local and international audience from all sectors of the PM and AM industry.
As usual, EURO PM2017 is organised and sponsored by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) in co-operation with key members of the PM fraternity in Italy and across Europe.
Exhibiting on its home ground SACMI, the Italian leading manufacturer of machines and complete plants across many different industrial fields and today one of the prominent technology supplier for the PM industry as well, had an active role on the organization this year’s event.
Matteo Federici, General Manager of the SACMI’s Division that includes PM products, is in fact Congress Chairman, while SACMI’s technical team closely supported the University of Trento in the on-field tests for the paper “The Influence Of Powder Mix On Densification And Compaction Mechanics In Uniaxial Cold Compaction” presented of Tuesday morning.
At the exhibition, SACMI team will present the latest developments in pressing and firing equipment including the new 800 ton CNC hydraulic press. The MPH800 was engineered in order to grant the highest structural rigidity and mechanical reliability thanks to the one-century long experience SACMI has in the manufacturing of high tonnage presses up to 25,000 tons.
The press features up to 4 upper and 5 lower levels granting outstanding production performances, even on the most complicated parts. Set-up times are also reduced to a minimum thanks to SACMI’s well-proven automatic die-set change system that allows production to restart in less than 30 minutes.
The highest efficiency is granted as well by the user-friendly Assisted Programming Interface (API) that drastically reduces the press programming and tuning times. The integrated graphical interface automatically generates the best pressing curves based on the geometrical characteristics of the piece and simulates the pressing cycle even before starting the production.
